Continuous Innovation of WPC Material for Outdoor Co-extrusion

WPC materials have excellent comprehensive properties. More and more kinds and quantities of wpc materials are used for outdoor buildings and landscapes. With the continuous development of manufacturing technology, the appearance quality of products has been greatly improved. But there are many wpc enterprises, even many large brand enterprises, due to the lack of targeted research, material design has congenital defects. These defects are often exposed after two or three years of construction, and it is too late to solve them. In tracking problems, material design defects are often difficult to detect. Thermoplastic polymer materials are viscoelastic materials. Stress creep occurs under long-term stress, which is determined by the characteristics of thermoplastic polymer materials. After a period use of outdoor wpc buildings and landscapes, the surface of wpc is often powdered and discolored, which affects the ornamental quality. WPC materials for outdoor use are subject to severe environmental requirements due to sunshine and rain; inorganic pigments with excellent natural aging resistance are usually used to ensure the durability of coloring. The phenomenon of powdering and fading often occurs because of the ageing of polymer on the surface layer of wpc and the erosion of inorganic pigments by rainwater (commonly known as acid rain) with lower pH value. In the design of wpc material properties, the anti-aging additives are usually evenly distributed. In fact, aging is gradually developing from outside to inside, so improving the aging resistance of wpc material surface layer is an important way to solve the problem of surface powdering and fading; at the same time, the ability of acid rain resistance should be enhanced in the color formulation.

In recent years, with the development of technology, high-end plastic co-extruded wood came into being. It uses the most advanced extrusion technology, the surface of which is uniformly and firmly coated with co-extrusion layer. Using this new technology to produce co-extruded wood not only retains the advantages of mildew, insect and other physical properties of traditional wood, but also has stronger wear resistance, scratch resistance, stain resistance and weather resistance. It is more beautiful and durable. It is suitable for high-grade outdoor landscape engineering, building formwork, villas, courtyard floor and other fields.

The density of finished products breaks through the bottleneck, reduces and maintains at a reasonable 1.2g/cm_, which is almost the same as that of hard solid wood. The density and performance of the material are improved without brittleness. Moreover, the outer protective layer with functional macromolecule material as the main material has stronger oil and dust resistance. Once the surface is stained, once washed by rain, it is still clean and fresh.
